From what I recall the brackets can interchange, but I recall the pulley distance from the pumps face being longer on the newer style saginaw pump, which will result in belt alignment issuses,...unless you want to swap engine pulleys?

Swap engine pulleys, do you mean all of them or just the PS pulley.
Here is what I am planning. 440 source sells rebuilt later style pumps, I was planning on getting all new pulleys (Chrome) from Bouchillion.
I went out today in the garage and realized I have the early can. I thought I had the later!!

I just looked at 440 source, they say to use the same pulley/brackets with either pump.
I hope someone can verify this before I buy the parts...is 440 source correct?
Thnx Chuck

If you say you now have the earlier Saginaw, you should be fine,...there was a post a few weeks ago when a member put a late model Saginaw on his small block motor using the ealier brackets, the pulley was about 1 inch forward of the engine pulleys,...not because of the pulley, but the pump snout/shaft was longer

PS,...I've always found aftermarket chrome pulleys a pain in the [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] to match up correctly,..thers's ALLWAYS one or 2 that don't align, no matter what you shim ....I just find a set of factory ones that run together nicely, then have them chromed,...unless your doing billet pulleys?

I am thinking more along the lines of the billet pulleys(Serpentine set up from 440 Source)
I think I will be OK if I get everything from them.
Thnx for the info!
Chuck
