Putting my new motor in on sat

Pulled the tried and true 360 that I have been beating on for 15 years out. She was a good soldier

I have a new 416 to replace that bullet with

Pulled all the inner valve springs for cam break in. gonna get it in on sat and hope to break it in on sun.

good luck with it. what stroker kit and heads did you use ? i have a 92 daytona i want to install a
stroker small block in this winter. put my new motor in my avenger and it wasn't as fresh as he said it was when i bought it. we pulled it back out and had to go through it. new pistons, bearings, 55mm cam and had to replace the exhaust vales. oh well, whats few more dollars at this point.

I hope so

My old motor with a small [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] off giggle gas went 10.83 breaking pushrods cause of weak springs

This one I hope runs low 11's high 10's on the motor and then I'm gonna spray it some Hoping for low 10's or maybe a single digit

my plan is to race a 275 drag radial class at my local track.

Bottom end looks familiar,,glad to see the timing chain tensioner, you will be happy with it. I have built a few of these in 408 with a 'little' more compression and they have ran well and lasted LONG. They were dirt track roundy-rounders. I am sure they have seen alot more torture than you wil put on yours. Good luck...I'm sure you will be happy with it!

If you like drag racing, support your local track.

fired it up this morning.

Ran it for about 10 mins at 2k ran up to about 230 temp then shut it off and let the water pump and fan run for about 5 mins to bring it down. then fire it up and ran it for another 10 mins at 2k.

My wide band was reading 12.5 on both sides at 2k

I can't belive how quiet this motor is to the last one

I have one small oil leak looks like it's coming from the back of the pan cleaned it up and snugged the bolt up. gonna run it again after I put the inner valve spings back in next weekend. See if it still leaks

then drain the oil and put new oil in and cut the filter apart
