Is there a difference between 71-72 and 73-74 housings? I have two that have the same major measurements, but have a different appearance.

Here is the second end. It has a much larger opening at the spring perch. Also the one part coming from the flange is only half as long as on the other one.

Thanks,
Craig

73/4 use a rubber isolator.

The second one is for a 73/74 body. The larger hole is for the rubber isolator.

and I am PRETTY SURE for several reasons the 73/74 perche is lower due the added height by the isolators and clamps assembly

I know lot of ppl will tell NO, but still... after try to fit a 71/72 sway bar plate on my 74, after fill the step to fit on isolator clamp, the plate didn't fit ATTENTION, DIDN'T FIT on my car because plate was meeting with axle housing. 73/74 plate has a very diff slope shape on plate on the tab area going to the rod to sway the axle housing
