I'm just getting back into playing with these old classics! In regards to transmission fluid, didn't I use to buy ATF? Then didn't it go to Dexron II?? I'm too old to remember -but what do I buy now-a-days for my old 1971 727's?

Thanks,
Ron

Dexron 2 is now replace with dexron 3 you can run that in your 727.

You can run a number of other ones but that is another ball game

i just switched to castrol type f from the castrol atf +4
atf+4 has extra lubricant,it will keep your transmission parts fresh and clean, i switched to type f for racing as it has a bit more grit to help clutches and i feel a firmer shift.for the street atf +4 for sure.
