Is there any difference between a 1972 dart and a 1973 dart...i.e. mainly the taper where the ball joint attaches...I just need to know weather or not to purchase a pair...I am swapping to a Aspen brake system and have aftermarket upper control arms but did not even think to see if there was a difference. I know this has been probably covered before but I am in a hurry and had no time to search. I know there is a difference in 72 and 73 ball joints as far as bolt spacing but was not sure of the stud.

Thanks in advance

unless you are running a sway bar (mounting tabs are different), i think they are the same.

They are. Sway bar mount tab locations are in one area from 1965 to 1972, and then from 1973 to 1976.

Thanks for the info...just saved me 80 bucks....I will just clean up the ones I have and box them and just get the 73 up ball joints.
