I bought a camshaft for my magnum 360 engine and the camshaft is from a earlier LA/magnum roller motor with the long snout. And the stock camshaft i pulled out has no oiling holes on the journals but this cam I bought does have oiling holes on 2 of the journals. My question is will this cam still work?
Thanks

yes & no it will work and not use the oil holes in it..

but the long nose will not fit behind the magnum t-cover and serp set up

if you could run the older t-cover on the magnum it works and fits

Yes I have the LA 360 front end parts so I will be running those. That cam with the oil 2 holes will work?

you have a magnum engine with the old LA front cover correct?

yes that cam will work..just wont use the oil holes in the cam

there are no oil passages in the block to heads on the magnum engine,so it wont use the holes in the cam

some early magnum blocks are drilled for the LA style oiling but are blocked at the deck by the magnum head

you should be able to run the mech fuel pump with it now also just need the ecentric and washer/bolt from a pre mag engine

the magnum cam bolt/washer will not work on that cam,so you need a pre-mag bolt/washer/ecentric/timeing gear sprokets

as long as you have the oil thru roller lifters and hollow rods its good to go

I have used a cam bearing with a full oil groove with a cam and no oil holes also

sold it right away so dont have feed back on how well that worked

Correct, my 1995 magnum has the oiling passages for LA heads.
