I removed my Dash assy to check out the speedometer that wasnt working the last time I drove it. Well now with th dash in my hands I see that the speedometer works fine , so far so good, but I havent yet been able to pull off that little knob for the trip odometer reset. Does anybody have any tips on this before I break it ?

don't know about the trip meter, but on my clock the knob had a small set screw in the center. take it out and the knob will then un thread. give it a try.

Hey thanks car48, Its so small I never considered a set screw, and I think the rest of the knobs just push on. Ill give it a closer look and post my finding shortly.

Doh! this is too easy, it just unscrews, resetting the trip odometer tightens it on the stem

While it's all get a old toothbrush and some water based degreaser/cleaner and clean the flutes/insets of the knob. Might need a push pin to carefully and gently get in there.

They actaully use that knob in some Chrysler? big car applications. I got one out of a junkyard car years ago.
