Drove to Indianapolis this past Friday and picked up my block. All I can say is this block block looks strong. Started mock up with intake and water manifold to see what kind of spacer i will need to build for the 9.600 deck height. Met with the gentalmen that makes the castings for the blocks and he was very informative about some things that need to happen to finish out the build. I will try to post some pictures with the heads water manifold and intake on soon, also timing cover, wich the block is made for short deck timing cover will need to have extra bolt holes drilled and tapped for stock cover. So far I'am very pleased with the block. I will try to keep posted as the progress continues. I will try to take some pictures tommorow to post. Iam not sure how to post pictures so bare with me. Also indianopolis this weekend weather was fabolous, I woke up to 65 degree weather sunshinny and no humidity. We were not in texas no more toto. lol. Will post soon . Thanks Brian W.

Excellent platform for just about any type of build you would want.

Did you get a chance to weigh it? I've got a short deck XR2 here & it's @ 237 lbs.... 3.89 bore. Tall deck has got to be 260+ & I assume yours has same #5 main oil feed "tube" in it as one I have?

That's the main reason the block is here for.... (circle track car) Lightened, Jesel Keyway bushing, deck, bore/hone... I'll post some pics of the Special XR2/P7 Camshaft tonight.

The cam tunnel has oil drains in the back of the block. The front of both heads will need drains put in them. There is a place to drain the passenger head through the block but you would need to drill the block yourself. I will just drill and tap both heads in that location and run an fittings and hoses back into the timing cover. This is definately going to be and adventure. Ryan if you run into anything weird please let me know and i will do the same.

Basically just a normal R5 cam machined down for LA snout... just looks funky.
