1bad318 OP 1bad440 Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,751 jacksboro,tn	alright guys,my truck was discharging,i had a bad connection on the amp gauge.i pulled the cluster and the wires were loose,they wouldnt tighten all the way up,so i added a washer and tightened up the wires.now it wont stop charging,its all the way on c.i tried a different voltage regulator,still the same.what gives?

(2)new VR not grounded (good enough) (3) new vr is bad (4) check brushes and the green wire from the one brush to the VR terminal to see if it's "full fielding" live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

76dodgeboy master Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 8,064 Iowa	I had an alternator that cause the batt to overcharge and swell. Have the alt tested aswell as the batt.
