Lincoln is the only one I know of

funny they make a spool for the two most popular toyota rears but non for the 8 1/4

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

weld it up nice. you will NEVER have a problem have done it in countless jeeps for off roading with 8 1/4 axles. trust me you will break the driveshaft/ujoint/ringandpinon/or axleshaft before the spider gears welds. just make shure it is very clean before welding. i use brake clean. then stand back and light the remaning brake clean on fire befor you weld to make shure it doesnt flame up once you start welding and catch yourself onfire. KEEP A FIREEXTINGUSHER NEARBY GEAR OIL/BRAKECLEAN IS VERY FLAMABLE. A CONTROLED BURN IS BETER THAN BURNING THE HOLE CAR DOWN

i would use caution doing this, i seem to remember a thread around here or somewhere else sometime ago about using breakclean on something that is getting welded, due to the breakclean reacting with the weldinggas and heat and turning into some very very nasty gas..

Yes brake clean or carb clean very bad in the presents of welding, can kill you or do some bad stuff to your body.

'Lincoln locker' is the term used when a individual uses a welder to weld the spider gears together.
