Maryland, USA,
make sure all of the vacumm lines are hooked up correctly. You can open and close the door by hand?

Yes I can open it but it will close. I don't have a spring on it. I think I have all the lines hooked up right, used the drawing and color coded all them. I've about got the car done now except for all the little stuff now. Thanks for any help you can give me. Ronnie

The solenoid is only for when the key is shut off, the air grabber closes. If the solenoid malfunctions, the air grabber will not open. I actually have mine intentionally bypassed just so the air grabber will stay open while sitting at a car show all day. You might try bypassing it just to see if it is your problem. Another thing you can do is run a known vacuum right to the actuator to see if it will open the air grabber door. If it does open, then work your way back from there while troubleshooting. Check the attached drawing to verify you have all your lines run correctly.
