Even if they get it out a couple of times I REALLY doubt they will get the chassis right in a couple outings Hell there are guy that have worked a couple YEARS at getting the suspension right and still havent got it yet... and I really doubt that the engine builder is going to set up the chassis for them(if he knows)

Take it like a true all out Street race. He's got a bigger motor, bigger tire, etc. He may not run the number, but will probably either get hurt, hurt some thing or hurt your wallet if he tries hard enough. He's got to give some thing up. No heros or egos here, beg till he gives you the comfort zone spot, then run him again for the real coin. I would have said to get the run off the very next day at a track so that he has no test and tune set time, but what ever its worth, go get 'em with no fear. Hope he or a friend/s are not spying on this board to see what your blueprint for a race is forming up top be. You have the smaller cube and old school suspension, so he should give a spot being that it is a featherweight as well.

Dom, I love grudge racing, & i agree with an earlier post, Its a win/win for you, In all reality, most will exspect the Nove to spank your Mopar, but if it don't, shame on them & you stand proud with a big grin on your face . Good luck, be on your game, DON'T Red light whatever you do, make him red light .

Well here's the thing Dom.. If Pettis built it, and you say he did.. Then you got to figure that it makes conservatively 750 ponies. In a 2700# car it could possibly go in the 8's.. Possibly.. Not likely. However, it more likely makes more than 750hp though. Probably closer to 800hp. You have been barely in the 9's in much better air that you will be in at Fontucky in the summertime.. I have to say that even running poorly, and if the Nova has a Glide, it should easily run mid 9's.. I would say not to pump your chest out too much.. But it's not a lock that he beats you. Chris..
