Can anyone give me a link to a 440 build where they decked the block .070 with 2266 pistons, I looked on the site and can not find it, Thanks
I don't think I have seen that post, any idea how old it may have been? Cutting the block that much is going to make it hard to use a stock intake/valley pan gasket and the intake or heads will also need to be milled to fit correctly.

you do not want to deck the block that much , by the time you pay for all decking of the block and an intake or a set of heads on the intake surface you could have just bought the right piston

Thanks, I think I found it, it was .020 to compensate for the thicker head gasket and to duplicate stock CR
probably better of buying good pistons or just use a steel shim head gasket.
