Mancini Racing has a good basic kit for a street/strip car.For full race go with John Cope at CRT transmissions.

All we have used are the standard kits from MP perf. or NAPA or Carquest.

I ordered my stuff from CRT and couldn't be happier with the products or the service!

I've used Mancini and Bulkpart.com for mild street builds

Transstar - http://www.transtarindustries.com

bulkpart - http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/mercha...y_Code=A727kits

Cope - http://coperacingtrans.com

PACT - http://www.transmissioncenter.net/727transmission.htm

A&A - http://www.aandatrans.com/Departments/Chrysler-727-Trans.aspx

TCS Products - http://www.tcsproducts.com

If your not sure what you need, just call up Cope and they will get you what you need. Their prices are also very competitive with the other vendors when you compare the same parts/kits.

I am a bit dissapointed with bulkparts, ordered a kit with the $7/each red eagle clutches (that is what they charged me for), but it came with the $3/each Borg warner clutches

FWIW, I found a supplier in my town that apparently supplies the local shops. They were a good 20% - 40% cheaper than the parts guys I usually go to. They carry (according to their T-shirt logo ) all the major brands of parts. I think the box the parts came in for tranny I just got done with said TCS on it but I also remember Transstar on some of the posters on wall there.

In the Mancici MRE brand what is the differece in the high performance and the race. I mean would the race kit be overkill in a street car. I need to find a overhaul kit as well and I am finding it quite confusing myself.
Can anyone recommend a good over haul kit for a 475-500 HP BB. I am not putting a full manual valve body in or anything like that, shift kit:yes
Thnx Chuck!!
BTW don't mean to hijack!!!!
