couldnt fit a hood on mine either. (see avatar) imo hoodless is fine short term but causes turbulence runnin 130mph or greater traps.

cowl hood would work

Why must people put GM hoods on their Mopars? They just don't look right.

Some people do it out of necessity...... There isnt another hood that would have fit my car..... not only that, it looks good..... you really have about 3 "mopar" options, the six pack, the oooold dodge pro stock scoop and maybe a 68 hemi scoop..... I guess ive just seen enough cars with one of those 3 scoops

x3 do what works and looks good.
Feets I don't understand... you have used a multitude of unique and ingenius parts you have used, including Mercedes fans, (AMG brakes I beleive as well) What is the concerns with the GM parts?

Yeah, Feets, what about that?? It's OK to stick foreign made parts on Mopars, but not American made parts? And, let's face it, the cowl hoods that are going on Mopars are not made by GM, and they are not the same dimensions as the GM design.
Feets, your car is a hot rod, because you mixed and matched parts from various cars to create something unique and functional. So, why not a non-Mopar hood scoop if it makes a car more unique and functional? That question goes to all of the other GM hood haters as well.

well said if it gets a cowl hood its out of nessisty but im starting to like how nasty its looking sticking thru the hood lol

I wasn't bashing GM. There are a lot of Mopars running around with cowl induction hoods and they just don't look right on the cars. It seems to be the "in" thing to do.
I'm not a bandwagon kind of guy and you won't see me doing the same thing as so many others.
I don't care for the looks of any of the 3" and taller cowl hoods. It just looks rediculous.

I was looking at the induction and was wondering if it would be possible to build a pipe with different bends for a straighter shot at the hat. What about turning the hat so the pipe didn't have to bend 90 degrees? Would that give him better clearance and would there be any problems with the carb?

We are brothers and sisters doing time on the planet for better or worse. I'll take the better, if you don't mind.

Here is another low hood one. If you can run yours like this you should be good:

I'm Not a turbo guy by any means but can't you just put spacer blocks between the K-Frame and chassis to raise the body up from the motor then adjust the torsion bars to get the chassis level again? I have done this to fit carbs under hoods and I think Mopar did it for hood clearance on Hemi cars.
