If your leaking from the bearing retainer, check for cracks at the bolt holes. Real common when the bolts get over tightened or the retainer was used without the correct gasket and silicone. Dan

When it rains it pours...I just bought a 1970 Hemi Cuda convertible replica at Mecum Indy and 200 miles into my first Mopar experience I too have a tranny leak or two. The primary source seems to be coming from the shaft for the first/second shift rod. Can the o-ring seal on that shaft be replaced simply by removing the inspection plate or is a more extensive tear down required? I may have a secondary leak coming from the speedometer cable where it is crimped in the metal ferrule it runs through at the point where it attached to the speedometer pinion. It is hard to tell if this is a secondary leak or if the fluid from the 1st/2nd shaft leak is blowing onto the speedo cable and then running back along the cable. Is it common to have leaks occur around this crimped ferrule?
Thanks,
Bob
Yes, just pull the side cover to replace the O rings. Also there is a seal inside the speedo pinion adapter on the cable side that may need to be replaced or is missing, there shouldn't be trans fluid getting into the cable .
