Check it out, seems my brothers wife is friends w/ the new owners wife. I will be getting some 411 on if/when we can do a Mopar day. I'd vote for Fall since my ride isn't ready yet.

They just updated the schedule on the website. It still shows April 3rd.

Look at the cost to park on the pit side.

I'll see what I can do. I was invited to go racing this weekend at MIR but I have no ride.

What's wrong with that?
If you are a racer with a trailer or have ever raced there on a Friday night, then you would be fine with this. I personally think all race tracks should designate parking for spectators. This keeps the pits more organized for the racers and the people that just come to watch and drink will just stay away from the pits and cars.

Only $5 more than before. If you're not racing keep your car out of there. The pits get crowed as it is.

Mason Dixon should do this . You go and race and come back around and some buttcheese has parked in your spot right in front of the trailer ramps.

M/D suxs They take forever to run ya,,,plus they only give you 2 maybe 3 time runs be fore elims. and yeah holes end up in your spot after a run and you have to chase them down to move, and if that's not bad enough you have to hear their attitude. I always ask "didn't you see the chair or the cooler or the spare tire or the tool box sitting there? think somebody just left it?" Now move your POS sunbrid mullethead

I agree, I emailed MD last year about the spectators being allowed to park in the pit area's for the same reasons you mentioned. Last year while picking up my time slip I almost got hit by some doofus cruising through the gate at faster than normal speed, in a hurry to get to his friends I guess. In their reply they said they would look into it and said hey, we could close the gate that would solve the problem, but have been their after that and it was buisness as usual.

Kev that thing running yet? My friends got to do a little T&T the other Friday night. They opened for a few people and they got to run 1/8's to test the equipment. Both said the track is going to be nice...all brand new w/ a larger shut down.

So did they lay down new asphalt and launch areas? I was out there back in the fall and took some pics myself. Gave me chills to see it that way. But if you think about it, that was for the better. That place would have never changed. I liked going but thought it shuold be a better considering the time it has been open. Small upgrades through the years would have been good. But who cares now, We got it back. Just hope the IMPORT [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean] don't tear it up like they do their schools! See ya FRI/SAT.

Same car, 2 years later. Behind it are Jeff Doston's Black Magic Road Runner, Steve Cavey's "Ruff n' Ready" Duster, Lynn Kinzey's Arrow and Donnie Hottinger's "Arrow Minded" Arrow.

Jeff Doster Still runs Black Magic at 1/8th some up at South Mountain (quarter Aces now) in Mt Holly Springs PA. His son also runs a 65 (I think) Coronet 500. I bet he will be at the grand Re-Opening.
