it really depends on how much pressure the pump can build. i've been using the shogun type (actually a teel bilge pump) which has a -10 suction and -8 discharge. with an aluminum radiator and flexalite black magic fan i haven't had any cooiling problems but it also depends on the HP you're making, which you will have more than me.

Yes Fred,Don's has #16 top and bottom with the reverse cooling there are two #16s teed into one#16 to the top of the rad and one #16 from the bottom of the rad to the pump.The #12s are on the breathers. the car very seldom see 200 degrees and after a run it cools to 170 by the time he gets back to the pits.

I am pretty sure that they arean16's on mine, with a Shogun manifold and pump.

Here in Az. where the temps are high -16 drag cars, -20 for street cars. And the drag cars are built to hot lap with no problems
