Me.
I liked some of the kits I have seen , but it was way cheaper and just as easy to fab my own.
I think it is U.S. Autobody that has a set that follows the contours for the underside of the floor pan.
I cut into the floor in front of the back seat and used 2X3 tubing from the rear of the transmission cross member to inside the front of the rear sub frame.

The xv ones I used on a challenger took about 8 hours to fit and weld in. They look good when done, but sure was alot of grinding. On my own challenger I'm just taking some square tubing and making my own. The ones mp sales are the easiest to install, they bolt in, but I welded them also on my 69 and 70 runners.

Auto Rust Technicians has the square tube type cut to fit. 2"x2" and 2"x3". The 2x2 usually run under the floor (on a b or E) and the 2x3 require a partial floor cut and stick up just a little inside.

2x2 makes a huge improvement - that's what I run.

I made my own as well for my 64 Dart from 2x2 .Pretty easy to do and i think it was about $20.00 in materials .I welded mine in completely and notched the rear floor a tad to make them align well.Took about a day by myself and it was the first ones i had ever done .Instant improvement off the line afterwards ...

frame ties and 8 3/4 back braces for a little side
money to help pay for parts

I just finished installing the 2x2 on my 71 Challenger. I had to slit the floor to fit them. Still, was a lot easier to install then I'd thought they be! measure twice, cut once... just about worked for me! A++ in my book.

Add me to the fab my own list, 2x3 also 125 wall. I opened up the rear frame rail and slid them inside, also had to open up the floor. got hte tubes as scrap from a customer. If I were to do it again...... I wouldnt change a thing, between the cage, and xv cowl and core support mods, and the connectors.....I can place a jack inside any wheel and lift up 3 corners of the car, with no measurable body tweaking. I thought I was the only one using round tubing. Cost less than $30, not including the beer.

Here's a pic.

I am going to do this and wonder why people use the 2X3 instead of the 2X2? From what I found you do not have to do much if any cutting of the floorboard with the 2X2. Other than an extra inch to help spread the load it sounds like extra work. In my case it is a mostly stock B body.

I have the US car tool ones, Not a big fan of them, but they're welded in now. My Next car will be 2x3 box.

I have had cars with both the 2x2 and 2x3. They are both fine but the 2x3 is stiffer. Is it needed?? My new Cuda has 2x3 and when I jack either rear tire up off the cage mounts under the car both front tires go airborne also.

If you can weld, do your own. 2x3" is probably the easiest to do

wonder why people use the 2X3 instead of the 2X2?

Because it's much, much stronger.

I like the answer..ME

best to do Mike is make your own to fit where you want them..thats what most do...can take the car to a member thats willing to help you...you live kinda far from me, but Im willing to help you..

are you looking for a bolt in?...my way of thinking is those arent as strong but can be welded in or get the set that is scribed to fit below the floor pans without cutting and have those welded in...

I forgot who makes them...do a search on them

I have the Competition Engineering bolt in connectors, now welded in. They fit perfectly, I was happy with them.
