Hey Guys, has anyone got a modern paint code for 1970 dodge plum crazy? I have the original PPG ditzler code but my new painter is usuing an RM/BASF system and nothing is cross referencing or coming up for it in the computer other than the new challenger plum crazy...

Thanks
Shawn

Yep Start formulating, the new line will not reflect older cars.

They have no way to look up FC7?

it doesn't come up in the new system with FC7 or with the original ppg code.

I have a leftover can of PPG Deltron 2000 and it says:

OEM: C7 MFG: CHR/1971/DOD
DBC2210# H
PLUM POLY

That is what was used on my 70 Challenger. It was painted in 1998.

I have a can of PPG Deltron OEM C7 basecoat from when my engine compartment was painted in 09. Matches the rest of the car that was painted in 05 or 06 perfectly.

I'll see if they can do anything with the formula... otherwise I think I'll just get my own ppg paint and bring it to them...

Shawn, the shop that was working on my FC7 Challenger R/T SE came up with a formaula which I was ok with; it was not color matched with the original paint - just very close. Here is the formula (disregard the "Dark Plum Pearlcoat") along with several pics of it on the car in single stage form.
