I know this is one of many dumb questions I'll have, but what is the easiest way to get the drip rail trim off of a 65 Plymouth Belvedere 1 with out hurting the trim or the rail?

Thanks

Some will use a wood stick. It sounds hillbilly but it can keep from scratching the paint and from bending the trim. Otherwise, NAPA sells a few trim removal tools.

I've used an old-fashioned bottle- opener (tape it up first). Works great.

That trim can be tricky and it's not reproduced so hurting it would suck.

I took mine off by hand starting at the front edge. Push down on the trim to take the tension off the bottom. Pull it up from the bottom and work your way back slowly. You can start it with a wood stick or special plastic trim tool if you like. After you get it started you *should* be able to pull it off with just hand pressure. Use the tool carefully if you get stuck. When I did mine I wondered if a little silicon spray would let it slide off easier.

Great info guys, thanks! I'll try it tonight if I get a chance.
I don't have to worry about paint right now, my biggest fear was damaging the drip rail and the trim. I'll try to hit it with some spray to see if that helps.

Thanks again
