But seems like my 408 stroker lack power in low RPM, but seems to pick up after 3500...could you give me hint at what could be wrong ?? RHS magnum heads stock 9:1 dynamic cr 180 lbs cranking pressure 230/238 hydr roller cam LD340 intake Eddy 1407 750 cfm carb 999 trans with low gearset 3.55 gear with 27'' radial tires Any suggestion accepted......... Dan

Ask me how I know. I also run a 408, first run off the trailer was 11.1 @ 119 from a 11.998 going from a Dynamic to an Ultimate converter from Lenny. I say your converter is way tight. If not I doubt you are at the CR you think among other factors. And I agree with others your stall speed is probably too low. Still not that bad though.

Dan Gear will help the launch. Cam should be 242@ .050, heads could use porting and larger valve. Intake work, with 1" open spacer and jet up for it. That's a start... Brian Brian Hafliger
