for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

Not at all.... anti roll bar and a rear sway bar is
basically the same and Mopar ran sway bars on the high
end suspension packages... but the anti roll bar doesnt
use rubber at the mount points which doesnt allow a
nice smooth movement

thanks- that's what i fingered. my scamp is a typical leaf spring car. it plants the left rear really hard, and rolls a little more than i like, even with good shocks. tire wear is uneven side to side (left rear wears faster than the right rear). i guess cal tracs or some similar device would have nearly the same effect?

The left rear is wearing more because the body is
rolling to the right BUT the axle is going to the
left applying more load on the left
