I want to convert my '66 Plymouth to power steering, but Im struggling with how to mount the PS pump. The car no longer has a motor plate, I am simply running factory style mounts. I am currently running the Meziere water pump.

Any ideas? Anyone make a kit for this application?

Thanks.

If your using the stock mounts why can't you use the stock power steering pump mounts? The water pump shouldn't be a problem, just have to get a double lower pulley and another belt.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

The factory Non A/C setup, the Power Steering didnt run with the water pump any how. It ran By its self on the out side pulley IIRC.
Go over to Bouchlin Performance and look how they are setup.

I appreciate the feedback on this topic. I checked out Bouchillon and their picture shows the pump mounted to water pump stanions on both the AC/ non AC cars.

Anyone know the year or application of the BB cars that did not have the PS pump mount to, or drive off of, the water pump?

I am running INDY 440-1 heads.

Thanks.

You just use a shorter belt from the lower pulley to the pump. Might have to make a custom mounting bracket .

If your using the Meziere pump and housing, you'll have to make your own brackets. If you use their drop in with the stock pump housing. You'll only need a shorter belt.
