Conn	Probably not the original block, but i've managed to clean up and read a portion of numbers stamped on the front drivers side, just under the head but I can only read the last 6 numbers. Info on them at this page http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/1971-TSB-Index.shtml see the first TSB in chapter 25. To check the VIN, look on the passenger side of the block down low.
