After a total screw up by Summit on a Cometic gasket order that was supposed to arrive in 1 to 2 days,I check my order status and found that they would not ship till next week. After talking to Summit and not getting anywhere we called Cometic direct.Chris helped me order the correct gasket and went on to get that special order done ASAP so that we could have it for Saturday morning(today). The amasing thing is this all happened Friday (yesterday)afternoon and we had them picked up this morning around 7am.Chris had one of the gals meet our guy. They got to BGR mid morning and are on the engine.Talk about great customer service Thanks Chris a Cometic Gasket and thanks Lenny Davis for driving there and delivering them to us.

They are the only choice for a serious power plant. That is great to hear that a company in the world today will go that little extra to help out in a time of need.
Other company's should follow suit, take note..When it boils down the little guys counts too

Although I like Summit Racing Equipment, they are just a parts house and truely custom orders are not what they are good at. They can special order a shelf part well enough, but things like custom orders, slick rollout verification, etc. I don't use them for that stuff.

Summit showed the gaskets in stock, the error was the demension and part number. They have since remove the it from their on line catalog, they were great about canceling the order, getting my credit and also sent me a set of .080 copper head gaskets in case Cometic didn't come through. They said that I could return the copper gaskets for refund but I'll put them on the shelf for future use.All in all everyone stepped up to help,I just wanted to give a "special thanks" to Chris and Lenny.

On a side note. Bob, Do you coat a Cometic gasket with anything? Or put them on, pardon the pun, "Bear". Thanks for the help.

We use Permatex Copper spray. On some with only two embossed and one spacer we cut the rivits and coat all layers.I have used them "bear" also.
