I'm going to help a friend swap an intake manifold on the 318 on his ramcharger and install new gaskets.

I thought he was going to take care of cleaning it first, before we swap it, but it seems he's relying on me to do it. Anyone know of a place in my area to get an intake cleaned up? Dont know if places use chemical or what. Normally I would try soaking it, but but I have no way to do this where I'm out now.

thanks
Gregg

Im sure there are many places near you, Tommy Goza of Goza Machine in ackworth could do it.

It dont take much really, paint stripper, sand blaster, ect.....many easy ways.

Or kick it back to your friend and say hey....clean this bs up......My tank will eat anything that not steel or cast iron....simple caustic soda setup.

I take my intakes to my local machine shop and get them hot-tanked.Cleans them out really good.No carbon in the heat crossover.
Does not cost much since they run the tank everyday for other purposes.
Just a suggestion.

EZ-Off oven cleaner and a brush. Cleaned entire motors then painted without fish eyes.
