Just finished it this week. Not an A-body, but in this case I don't think it matters. Pypes 3.5 X-pipe, MagnaFlow mufflers.

I had the pypes 3.5" x setup before and was thinking about running that again! just not 100% sure on muffler selection this time and I want it to exit in front of rear tires

I like the Hooker Max flow mufflers the best. Have a set here waiting to go on a truck im going to build for myself. Have Put on several sets of these for other guys around here. They all love them. Built a guy in florida a 69 valiant and put a set of these 3" center in/center out. Built him a J-headed 360/904 w/4.56 gears. He's got a 7.01 in the 1/8 out of it so far thru the mufflers. I like that they are Wayyyyy quieter than the flo-masters. And they have to flow good cause you can see straight thru them.

I had seen a flow test chart showing a bunch of 3" mufflers tested. The hooker max flows put out the same cfm as a same length of 3" exhaust pipe. No flow drop.
