Putting together a 512 stroker (RB) , the pins are a press fit into the rods & float in the piston pin bore , clearance between wrist pin & spiro locks are around .015" (float) , seems pretty tight to me? ,any thoughts?

Thanks

why are you running locks?? if its press fit on the rod that is your lock. the pistons can be used for pressed fit or floating just not using the locks for the press fit.

These are fully floating , pin seems a tad tight in the rod.

I agree
Your just adding weight, and something to come out into the bores for no apparent reason.... They are either floaters or pressed...The pistons was design to accept either a pressed or bushed rods. Forget the locks.

Should of worded this a little better from the start . sorry..................

The kit uses fully floating pins , the pin is a tad tight on the rod , should i leave as is or get them honed?

Made a complete mess of my first post , rods ARE bushed , my brain seems a bit messed up tonight.

if the pins are tight in the rods, have them honed to the proper fit for your application.

The wrist pins were supplied with the pistons & rods . you would think they would be clearanced for correct fit (.0006"/.0003"?) , just seems anothe set back when putting these things together.

Takes a light tap with a mallet to slide these pins into the rod bushings , tad more than a thumb fit.

Some of the kits do not come pin fitted, yours needs it I like to see at leats .0008 for a street motor and .001 for a race motor on the pins to the rods and pistons, more if it is using a power adder

Just because it came as a set doesn't mean a thing , unless you paid to have it pin fit by the supplier then they do as little as possible .
