OK, I'm nuts for wantin' to do this.............

That said, which head would you use on a 273?

I've got parts laying around, looking for a home and I thought why not build a hot 273. I can do stock heads with big valves, 340/360, or Magnums.
I already KNOW that I'd have to notch the cylinders for valve clearance, I've got pistons that will make compression in an open chambered head, so I've got the compression part covered. It's just a question of which head to feed it.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Jim Burch

Head flow is everything when it comes to power.

Ok, so that leaves the stock head out; 340/360, or Magnum? I'm not gonna spend a lot of money on this if I do it, just using what I have laying around.
