It's pretty simple actually. 70 Bee's were made at more than one assembly plant. If you have a Lynch Road built Bee it should have a "T" style post and a St. Louis built Bee it would have a "tube" style post. I'm unsure which style an LA built Bee would have.

Would that be true for a 68 RR built at Lynch Road ?

That's the correct style 70 ONLY Coronet hook it has two attachment locations. This was so one hook can fit both the front bumbper and other location the rear bumper.

Guys look at the base and how it is square with a notch at the top. The jack mast is the same and fits it perfectly. The hook is the correct 1104 and has small numbers. I have looked at about 200 jacks and never seen one like this. All tube style ones are (not) square. I have seen this BEAUTY BEE and it is a true LA built survior with loads of west coast reference.

My March built LA 70 Road Runner has a tubes tyle jack as well. However the base, tube and jack mechanism do not look like yours. Was your car built at the end of the model year? Maybe there was a change of suppliers or something? Very interesting as I have never seen a base, tube or jack like yours in any 70 B body (LA, St. Louis or Lynch Rd.).

Car was built on Dec.12,1969 and sold in L.A. on Oct.5,1970. Mike came over and he's never seen one either...also L.A.car and no build sheet

I am gonna go out on a limb and say I have pulled some of that style jacks from Mid sixties cars but never anything past 1968. I personally think it is not the right "style" for a 70 model anything unless thaey had a small supply of them that they used at a certain plant. I have one now with a K date code on it but no year....

Believe it or not, Krylon or Rustoleum "machinery gray" is a very close match.

If your car is such a survivor, why repaint them? Just take some micro-finishing compound and wax to them.

That is the part number for a 1970 Coronet hook & the vendor number of the supplier.

Are there any letters / numbers stamped in the jack body or on the end of one of its rivets?
