running a roller cam, do you have to put a copper tube doun one side of the liffter galey? OR is it really needed.Can you just put the cam in and go?

the old roller lifters would uncover the oil galleries ..hence the need for the tubing..

new solid body lifter do not ...so tubing is not needed...but if you kick a lifter out of the bore you will lose oil pressure..but that is the same with flat tappet lifters as well as roller lifters..

I did nothing of the sort with my '73 360 block and crane retrofit roller cam and lifters. No oiling troubles with just dropping in and going
