I have a 440 in a 73 Sat. I believe that the 971 oil pan is the correct one for this application. I read on an earlier post that listed the pan numbers for each application. I cannot find this thread. Can anyone help me? Does 440source have one of these pans? I checked thier website, and found no matches. Thanks for any help.

yes 971 it is the right oil pan.

MP sells it ( with other PN but still 971 stamped ), same as 440source

If the MP piece for the B-RB has the same quality or lack of it was the A block pans run away.

Thanks for the replies. Thanks Nacho for the link. I did a search on ebay for a "971" pan and came up empty. I didn't know the MP part number. The price they were asking is kinda high. I could have sworn that I seen a pan being offered by 440source priced at $59. It wasnt that long ago either. I'll check 440source again with this new part number. Thanks again.
