hydro super street Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 514 Buffalo, MN	The 545 transmission is huge. You would have to remake the crossmember and torsion bar mounts to fit that in a 1st gen Challenger.

boden member B Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 57 Hesston, KS	Its not an E body, but I've mounted one in my duster behind a 5.7 hemi. I had to widen the tunnel by about 5" and fabricate a mounting setup behind the stock one. The 545 is a large trans, but I think the benefits will far outweigh the extra effort in installing it, when I eventually get it on the road. If you are not afraid to do some surgery to the hump and mounts I'd say go for it.
