I restored the console today. I took the wood grain insert out of the front portion and it looks like it was just put over a 68 console?
Is that how ma mopar did it, or did someone get crafty with it?
no, that's how Chrysler did it. beautiful work! and you can start on my car when?
That's interesting about the console
I put new seat covers on the front and back seats this weekend.
I still need to get some wrinkles out. It seems every time I do seats, I have to go back in to get wrinkles out.
Probably cause I didn't buy new foam?

Looks great as usual! Some questions: 1. Is the dash outline paint by hand? 2. What's the second light by the dash reverse light for? 3. What color was your original carpet and what color are you going to go with?

. I did the outlines with silver paint pen and the lettering with white out. The second dash light is a seatbelt warning. I will be doing blaCk carpet like original.

It's amazing how well those paint pens work. I remember trying to do stuff like hat with a brush years ago and I don't have that steady of a hand. It was painstakingly long. With those pens, you can almost zip right around in no time. Seats and dash look really nice. Joe

Mine doesn't have the seatbelt light. Do you have standard (mine) or deluxe (push button) seatbelts? Also I do not have a console.
I'd have to check. I bought the car as a project and the seat belts are all rolled up in a bag somewhere.
Is your car a bench seat or column shift with buckets? Mine is buckets and console.
Any pics of your car Coffeeman?

Well, I thought I was through with the welder on my project when...... My friend stopped by this weekend and he said "Hows your convertible top frame"? I told him rust free. He said, did you check under the existing top where it sits on the header panel? They all rust there. Well we checked together and sure enough, I dragged the welder out today
