If so, what was your experience?

I have Lokar on two cars and they work fine, but I've heard the Bouchillon one is better. You should get some responses -- I've seen people on here boast about them before. So much so, I thought about replacing my Lokars.

This kit is great. I have it in my Charger. When I put the motor together, The stock linkage wouldn't work properly since I had a taller intake than stock by far. The Performer RPM 440 also made it hard for the stock intake bracket to fit. Now there are other choices, such as the manifold bracket by AR Engineering. Their bracket allows the use of the factory stuff. It may be a great piece, but I'm sticking with the cable kit. Its easy to install and adjust. Their kit is a winner!

I ordered a Lokar and returned it before even opening the package. The Bouchillon kit, while not as "pretty" as a Lokar, works very well. Easy to install, adjust, and I've not had any problems. I believe the cable is even an OEM piece (A-518?) so if it had to be replaced you could get one at the dealer. I bought the carb mounting plate too, which is an option.

When I bought my car the kickdown linkage was missing because the previous owner went from a 2 bbl to 4 bbl. Luckilly, he did not put any miles on it like this.

The Bouchillon kit went on fairly easilly and works well as advertised. I also needed the carb mounting plate to make things easier.

I had to modify the stock lever on the trans to get the adjustment I wanted. The shorter lever in the kit would hit the stop before WOT to have the shift point where I wanted it.

I just put one on my 1965 B body with an RB engine and a factory six pack. Seems like it is going to be OK. Still have to fine tune the shift points.

The Lokar is JUNK compared to the other--I LOVE the Bouchillion kit--use them all the time on customer cars--easy as pie and work flawless!! You may have to fabricate on your bracket at the manifold depending on your carb, intake combo but they work great!! Best Mopar part out there by anyone! IMO

One last comment.

Ordered the parts on the phone yesterday morning. What a great experience. I have become so used to indifferent and ignorant salespeople over the years that it's just something I have come to expect.

The gal who answered the phone at Bouchillon couldn't have been more different. Helpful, friendly and genuinely seemed to be enjoying her day at work. Good for her!

Had it on my LRE truck and it is easy to adjust you just have to have some patience with the adjustments.

I was on the road working last year, and was living just up the street from their shop... I stopped by a couple of times... really nice folks.

I had a Lokar for a while and adjusted that stupid thing seven ways from Sunday and NEVER got it function properly. I called the guys from Bouchillon and talked with them at great length about the differences between the two and obviously ordered one. Put it on, followed the instructions and with one very minor adjustment, it has worked flawlessly for two years. Spend your money wisely and buy the Bouchillon kit and leave the other for the sb chevy hot rod crowd.

Sounds like you talked to Courtney. She was a peach to talk to, knew what she was talking about. I had my BPE kit come in a week ago and I haven't gotten a chance to install it yet. I tried to make my own but I just get the geometry right. I figured to save some time I would buy the kickdown kit and the throttle bracketry. Mine is a bit more tougher situation as I am running a CH28 and 440+6 Air Cleaner. I'll post pics when I install.
