I'm in a bit of a jam right now. My body man is waiting on me to cut the holes in my hood before he preps and paints it. I bought a template off ebay and it appears that its for a Dodge (non tapered hood). I have contacted the template vendor and he is working with me but I am starting to become uneasy about it. My question is this, does anyone have a 63-64 Plymouth maxie with cut outs? If so, could I get a little assistance with locating the correct position to cut the holes? Thanks in advance.

You might want to post this over in the race section There are quite a few Max cars in NE Ohio and a few of them frequent the race forum.

You might also try installing an air cleaner stud in each carb that will contact the hood when you close it. Close the hood enough to mark the underside with a gouge or small dent, then measure out the circle you need from there.
IIRC, the hole size matches the inside diameter of the seals that were attacked to the air bells (the spun aluminum pieces).
