I have a 69 B Body that I am going to put a set of 3.5" round styly mufflers on, not interested in Borla or Flowmaster or Dynomax......I was wondering if anyone has had a local or custome muffler made they were happy with.

I'm not looking for it to be quiet, I need it to be durable, and very minimum restriction....say 16" long up to maybe 20 " long ????

I run the 3 1/2 dynomax bullets but they`re pretty loud.

If you just need a loud round muffler the bullet should work fine, unless I'm not fully understanding your question. Are you looking for a longer version of a bullet?
Maybe a DNA muffler.

go to youre nearest concret plant
ask if the have a 'blower ' truck
(thats what they have blow the mix in with)
they have mufflers on them that range 3.5-4.5
they are round, and app 16-20 long
if youre lucky they will have an old 1 or 2 laying around that they will give you

NO you did'nt misunderstand, I just did'nt want some of those polished stainless or $400.00 Kooks mufflers.....The dynomax bullet would be OK, I had not seen it before, only the dyno max rectangular muffler like the flowmaster......its not that I want it real loud, I just dont want very much restriction.....

Have you looked at the Magnaflow brand yet? I used there three inch in and out 14x7 ovals and they work great I saw a .04 ET gain in the 1/8 mile by removing them at the track, 6.98 to 7.02 in the summer at 2500 FT elevation track. My muffs are mounted behind the rear axle for noise control and that helps keep them quiet, until I go to WOT

I put the 3.5 dynomax's on my car and couldn't believe how much it quieted it down.

Have not tried them yet to see how much ET I will have but hopefully soon.

They DynoMax Ultraflow looks like a Flowmaster on the outside, but is a straight through design with no restrictions.

This is what I had on my car. There is no restriction, trust me! I thought they sounded really neat and different.
