mopar155 OP enthusiast Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 353 Kentucky	I recently acquired an old set of 7" steel wheels with the 4" bolt pattern. Want to keep them for a back up set for my son's 1970 Dart. Can anyone tell me what the biggest tire is that will fit? Thanks for any responses 1970 Plymouth Duster 1971 Dodge Challenger 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 4 Speed (Son's) 1985 Chevrolet Corvette (Wife's)

Neil The Doctor is in. Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 20,796 Eagle, Idaho	235/60/15 for sure. Some have used a 245, but I would think you would need to roll the fender lips in a little bit. A lot of it depends on your backspacing too. The factory backspacing of 4-1/4" centers the wheel in the wheelwell pretty good. Go too far away from that number and suddenly things don't fit anymore.

That AMC Guy master Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 4,810 Castlegar, BC, Canada	I fit a 255/60/15 on a 15x7 AMC rallye wheel. No rubbing at all. But 235's look the best. 255 is too tall. Bloody Mary, Full of Vodka, Blessed art thou among cocktails....

Ran high 12s, low 13s. Here's what's in it right now. Runs low to mid 0s . I can't push very fast. Here's what I HOPE to have in it within a week or two. And it BETTER run at least low 11s. 11.2-1 493 Edelbrock heads, RPM intake, Biggs 850 DP, Scott Brown hydraulic cam, MSD ignition, TTI 2" headers & 3" exhaust, CRT equipped 727 , PTC 9.5" converter, and an 8 3/4" rear til I can afford a Dana. codfish
