My old rule of thumb for SS spring ride height.... They were designed so that an imaginary line extended along the bottom of the rocker panel passes through the center line of the axle. Check out all the pics posted and you will see that unless you change the front mount height and/or use lowering blocks the rule still holds true after all these years. It looks too high with short tires. They were designed back in the 60's to use with 29.5" tall race tires. If you use short tires and/or want your car down in the weeds then they are the wrong springs for you. I built a few cars with SS springs back in the day but my current car has had Caltracks and monoleafs on it for years. I'll never buy another set of SS springs. Never.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Right now,I have 28"x11.5" QTP's but I may go up to 29". My dad had 28"x12" slicks oh his duster and ran SS springs. IF I had the money,I would go Cal-tracs but $700.00-$900.00 vs. $220??? Its a clear picture for me.

3140# without me and I have the 002/003 spring package. I don't have immediate access to my car right now (@ a freinds garage) as I work on my '71 Charger. Just took the hanger (I may ave used the rear I did this long ago) and bored the hole out to accept the rear shackle tube then welded the tube to the bracket. Flipped the mount and welded it to the underside of the frame. I'll get some pics as soon as I can if you are interested
