With no car, to keep this engine from rusting up, it needed to run every now and then. To keep it from going to waste, my solution was this.

Project needed 2x10's, 2x4's , outdoor screws, 20 amp ign switch, external starter switch. $20 bucks worth of stuff.

The 2x10 rails support the side oil pan lips. A back T holds up the bellhousing. Level it modifing the back T support.

A start stand can help to baseline carbs, time distributors, and do problem solving where "swap with known good part" is possible.

AWESOME NOISE CANNON!

Yes.

Why wouldn't it?

Looks good to me, does it rock when you blip it? dont run it too long on hose water, lots of cylinder wear on a cold motor. But it beats rust seizing.

Your neighbors must love the open headers..... .....good, simple idea though, I'd only be worried about it tipping when the throttle is blipped. Do you run it without coolant? I have seen plans on Ebarf, but you could make a steel one pretty cheap/easy too.

It is very stable. Front is wedged in . The back Piece is held on studs. The engine is cribbed so that the 3 legs support all the surface area. The coolant, just water, is distilled from the tap. Never had a problem with it overheating. Yes, the flywheel generates some heavy force when opening up the carb. Great for breaking in, throttle varying from 1200-2500-3000rpm.

Believe it or Not.
