What type of weatherstripping do rodders use to seal the side glass to the body. Would it be the same if you were chopping a top and had flat side glass?

Lots of places sell replacement glass rubber intended for this purpose. Where you get it may be determined by what car or truck you have. Most chopped cars can use the original type rubber cut and super glued back together.

Thanks Gene. I've always wondered what these guys do. And then when you see unfinished chop top projects with no glass in them, it just makes me wonder.

Lots of time the issue with chopped tops is with getting the glass cut. Cutting curved glass is an art form, and most guys freak out when the find out how expensive "art work" is. You see guys sinking glass into the body and laying back the glass and a bunch of other stuff to avoid having to cut the glass.

Many guys are also bonding the glass to extended window pinch welds like most of the newer cars are done. Rubber tends to break down or not always seal against the glass. Gene
