I need a new gas tank for a 70 cuda, single vent tube. Are they all the same and I should just shop for the best price or are there better quality one's on the market and who sells those? Not looking for a bargain as much as a quality tank. Thanks!!

I personally cant tell you whether or not there is much difference in them, but Im sure a clever vendors pitch may sell you on the idea that his vendors gas tank is superior. I can say in the past 4 years they seem to have gone down and down in price. I dunno, perhaps they could be thinner, but I would think that wouldnt be due to potential liability issues. There may be some subtles. Just my thought, but to admit there isnt much difference is to admit it comes down to price. Thats a no no when selling anything.

I don't know who carries which one ( I don't carry either one btw) but there are at least 2 styles floating around, One painted and one Plated , like they should be. So if it matters , ask.

None of the reproductions have the internal expansion tank.

When you guys say "plated", I assume you are talking about galvanizing or zinc or what? So you were happy with the tank from The Paddock? Any idea who made it? Was it drop shipped from somewhere or did it come in a Paddock box?

You're going to end up with a spectra tank, made in Canada. They are the good ones on the markets. I've bought two and they've been perfect. Rock auto, most ebay sellers, etc sell the spectra tanks. They come with the zinc coating, not painted like the junk chineese ones.
