BadFish340 took this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoxshoIXM1Q Thanks Clark for sharing it with me. This was the 6th pass of the day. It ran a 1.56 60' and 10.65 @ 126.69 which was the best mph of the day. My best 60' of the day was 1.50 on my 3rd run. My shocks are on the softest setting front and rear. Clark commented that the front seems slow to react. I know it hops twice on this run. The only other time it did that was my first run. The rear shocks were set on 5 on that pass. It hopped real bad on that one. Any suggestions? Jim

looks like you put a good spin in it then started bouncing. front end does not move too much is the rear springs too tight?? what set up do you have?? ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif) could be the slicks were a little hard and the spin delayed things. Cam tracs??

I watched your video several times as it launched. Are your rear shocks long enough? It looks like it is unloading the tires. How much can you raise the right or left side of the body before the wheels come off the ground? raise the rear of the car and put jack stands under the frame in front of th espring hangers so the rear tires are off the ground. You should be able to remove the shock and extend it another couple of inches. If you can't, then this is likely your problem. What is your pinion angel and spring angle? It looks like it is still trying to lift the body off the tires when it starts hopping. Do you have the front section of your springs clamped? Are you running a pinion snubber or any traction devices, or just the springs.
HAH... with that primer on the green, it looks like you tried to copy Warfish. LOL Good luck with it, this is the part I love, trying to figure out how to make it faster, quicker or more consistent.

To each his own...........some work jacked up some dont. My car`s not draggin in the rear however I`ve had back-to-back 6.22`s in the 1/8th w/ 1.36 60 ft times.
Thumper don't take me wrong on this. I think your car runs great and you have the #'s to back it up. I'm just trying to figure out why with only a larger tire mine got so messed up. Jim ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beer.gif)

The setup: /6 TB, QA-1 shocks all the way around at the sofest setting(the rears are long enough). CalTracs with 1" over monoleafs.
I would try the QA1 rear setting pretty tight. That's what is making the rear load and unload. Keep the front loose, and shorten the control arm upper bumpers too. Get as much travel as you can. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Twocents.gif)

[ I will try trimming the front bumpers to get another .5-.75" of travel.
Why not just take them off? I had to take mine off completely to get the travel that Calvert wants in the front end, as well as lower the back, and use taller tires in the front.
How much travel do you have in the front end?
72 RR, Pump gas 440, 452s, 3800 lbs, Corked, ET Radials,. 11.33@117.72.
Same car, bone stock 346s, 9.5 comp, baby solid. 12.24@110.

I currently have 47/8" of travel. Don't want to take them off and hear upper control arms banging.
