Thinking of buying a pair of these heads instead of rebuilding my stock 360 heads(this for a truck) Anybody have any feedback for these heads. Price seems real good for the performance boost.

All they are, is reboxed Engine Quest heads. You can buy them drilled for LA intakes or Magnums straight from EQ.

I've heard nothing but good about EQ heads (cast w more metal around the trouble prone ex seats iirc) etc.

Running a set of stage 1 Hughes on my 360 Duster in signature for about 5 years now. No problems at all and perform well. These are NOT reboxed heads.

Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!

I was under the impression that the hughes version had 2.02 intakes?

I got me a really nice set of heads from OU812, and added some sweet hughes 1.65 magnum shaft rollers. They will make a very nice street/strip smallblock for ya.

These are the way i would go.

looking on their site, they sell "sportsman" heads, which are rebuilt OEM heads. everything else they sell is either work done on your heads (or core heads from them), or aftermarket replacements. their "Iron Rams" are Enginequest 318A/B (mag/la intake), and they also sell RHS heads.

Oh Man those look nice! Those combustion chambers look very small. I'll guess 60CC. Is that close?

I ran a set of Dave's heads [ Stage I ] on my old Duster. I supplied the cores [ I think they were 974 castings ]. They were delivered on time and worked well. I picked up 5 mph in trap speed and dropped the ET by .5 sec. The previous heads were poor, but .5 a sec and 5 mph is still a pretty good improvement. I later sold them to a friend [ Dare Dude ] and he used them on his light weight Dart drag only car and went mid tens with them. Not too shabby.

Nobody said that these weren't rebuilt on used cores. Mine are on 587 cores and very happy with them.

I guess I misread your first post slightly...you meant your heads weren't reboxed new, not all hughes SB heads aren't reboxed new...."hughes heads" could mean anything from worked used cores to new EQ's, RHS's, edelbrocks, indy's, etc. prepped by them...

the RHS heads CC about the same as magnums, ~63cc, IIRC Brian at IMM had one set that ended up closer to 68cc.
