Good track radials are faster, bad track bias plys are easier to hook up constsitintly

I just put M/T N-50X15 Indy profile SS tires on my Dart. Ran at T&T last night with disappointing 60' results, but I did not heat them up first. Anybody else running these tires?

I had those tires back when I was in high school, and I couldnt get them to hook up with a bone stock 318...if your car makes any power, those tires are worthless, even though they look pretty nostalgic!

I may try the nitto drag radial, they last a lot longer than the others, but from what i've read not quite as much bite on the track.

The M/T Street (bias) are more forgiving of a poorly prepared track. The radials are a couple hundreths faster, but more susceptible to poor tracks.

If you street drive it a lot and might get caught in the rain, stick with the radials. Big difference in driveability.

I've run both on my 11 second Valiant and like the radials much better because of how it drives on the street. I only 60' in the 1.61-1.63 range so I don't need a ton of tire. Current tires are 255-R60/15's M/T Radials which are about 27" tall and 8" wide.

I ran the M/T street ET bias-ply tires, and then switched to the M/T Street ET Radials. The Radials seem stickier and for the limited street driving I do, they handle better, but the radials look like they are wearing out faster than the Bias Ply tires.
I have only run at Bandimere and MATS, and the tracks are usually prepped good, so I can't say if one performs better than the other by the way the track is preped. Anyhow, I'm happy with the radials and would buy another set then they wear out.

Is there a difference between the M/T street ET's and the M/T Sportsman pros?

The ET streets are stickier than the pros and the pros are full tread unlike the streets.
