I run alky in my motor.... all I do is run a good top lube and at the end of the year take the belt drive pump off and put some oil in it for winter storage. I also at the end of the day running the car plug all the vents to the tank. This keeps corrosion from forming...Also get it up to temp 190 os so before shutting it off as this burns the moisture out of the oil. I have had zero problems doing it this way.

I have to do this same procedure running race gas because of the aluminum motor. I think it's a good idea with any race motor just to keep the rust inside to a minimum.

How many years have you been running alky?

no more maintenance than gas really. Long as your tuneup is good. I run Klotz Uplon toplube with a Moroso vac pump and pretty much maintenance free. I change oil 25-30 passes but do the same on my gas motor. Been running all kinds of alky systems over 10years.
