Is there any way to convert my original disc brake spindles to something more modern other then changing the spindles to A body or newer B body

I would think your oe setup would be pretty stout. Would some more aggressive pads give you what you are after?

I don't think anyone sells disc brake kits that fit the early disc knuckles. Just grab some '73+ knuckles and then you can swap most anything on there. Doctor Diff sells new disc brake knuckles for only $200 a pair.

I don't think anyone sells this conversion. I'm in the same boat, I'd like to upgrade my stock 70 disks to the big 11 3/4 disk and a viper or wilwood caliper and have yet to find the setup that dosent make me change calipers.

Someone should make one....hint hint

Baer sells kits for the '70-'72 knuckles but I don't know anyone who sells them for the '66-'69 knuckles.

I can easily build custom kits for the '70-'72 knuckle but I don't see any reason to do that. The big bearing knuckles are easy to find, they are available as reproduction items and in dropped configuration. For me it just boils down to supporting the biggest market and the '73+ knuckle probably has 10x the installed base of the '70-'72 knuckle. The '69 and earlier knuckle is even smaller in terms of installed units.
