I'm installing a 7 qt oil pan on my 440. The onley position I can get the oil pickup to work will only have 1/16 inch clearance between pickup and rod bolt. Will that be enough? Also pickup will not be level and will be about 3/4 inch from bottom of pan.

1/16" is not enough & 3/4" on the other is too much. CAREFULLY heat/bend it to get it right and want the slope of the pickup to match the inside bottom of the pan which may be sloped and not parallel to the block pan rails. Me personally I like the pickup 1/8" off of the bottom especially in a high rpm and or hi vol pump eng so there's a bit extra room for the hi vol of oil to make the turn

1/16" is plenty.

3/4" is more that you should have to take full advantage of the pan.
