a few days ago someone hsd a post about doing away the torsion bars and going to coil over shocks. there were some pictures of the lower control arm with the locating bolt being drilled and a bolt and washer holding it on. have a lot of people done this and is holding up ok? i would like to know more about this. it would free up space in there. this is on an a body car for race use only with a smallblock. thanks

Is this something suitable for street use? I guess the strut rod takes most of the braking force etc. Thanks.
